Kim Kardashian decided to share a little parenting advice that is also relationship advice. It’s getting some mixed reactions.

In her recent interview for her Elle cover, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and mother of three said that she thinks that mothers owe it to their husbands to pay as much attention to them as to their children.

That controversial suggestion has some people reacting with horror. Read her exact words below.

Kim is featured on Elle’s first-ever personalized cover, because that’s the power that the Kardashians wield, folks.

In her interview, the mother-of-three dished about all sorts of things, like how quiet her home is and how meticulously organized her children’s clothes are.

But one piece of advice that she chose to impart stuck out … and not in a good way.

“I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids..”

That … is controversial.

While obviously, no one is suggesting that loving partners ignore each other, morally speaking, children have to come first.

Not only do they need more — from emotional nurturing to learning about what it’s like to be a person to being fed and bathed and dressed — but they have to be the priority.

Why? Because, to put it bluntly, it isn’t Kim’s fault that Kanye exists, but she did bring her children into the world.

The same goes with Kanye, of course. He helped bring North, Saint, and Chicago into existence, so his first priority should always be the children.

Paying attention to your spouse is wonderful and can be great for your marriage and indirectly helpful for your children.

But, strictly from the standpoint of prioritizing childcare being a parent’s moral imperative, Kim’s advice rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way.
